According to WuTalk, the TON ecosystem asset bridge project TAC disclosed that the security incident on May 11 was caused by the sequencer software lacking sender wallet code hash verification. This allowed attackers to deploy a fake Jetton wallet on TON and successfully inject counterfeit tokens, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.86 million in USDT, BLUM, and tsTON. The project team stated that after public appeals and subsequent recovery efforts, about 90% of the assets were returned to a multi-signature wallet controlled by TAC on May 14, while the remaining 10% is still held by the responsible parties. TAC mentioned that the cross-chain bridge remains suspended for now. Operations will only resume after the updated sequencer software undergoes an independent audit and the asset shortfall is covered by recovered funds and TAC Foundation reserves. https://(wublock123.com)/news/tac-recovers-90-percent-stolen-funds-cross-chain-bridge-awaits-audit-61418
