I need to emphasize once again that the main reason for the current uncontrolled inflation surge is the rise in oil prices caused by the Strait of Hormuz. This is the primary reason, though not the only one. Of course, if the issue with the Strait of Hormuz is resolved, it could significantly ease the inflation spike.
So, the biggest uncertainty in the market right now isn’t whether the U.S. and Iran will fully reconcile, but whether the Strait of Hormuz can be cleared up quickly. Even if the U.S. and Iran don’t reach a complete nuclear agreement, making the Strait of Hormuz a top priority for resolution is still possible.
Moreover, the prolonged market uncertainty and inflation surge don’t just affect the U.S.; Europe, Asia, and even China are also impacted. Most countries around the world wouldn’t want to see the Strait of Hormuz fall under Iran’s control.
Hope Trump speeds things up.
