CHALLENGE ISSUED: I have already challenged @sethmoulton & @EdMarkey to a 3-way debate over multiple days. Only @sethmoulton accepted - but, so far, has agreed to only one debate - taking place on June 16th - moderated by @kelleratlarge - airing on WBZ at 9PM EST. Hopefully, Markey will find the political courage to participate. But I doubt it. On August 20th, @sethmoulton and @EdMarkey will have a one-hour debate before their September 1st primary. The winner of the primary will go up against me on November 3rd. I hereby issue a FIVE SINGLE ISSUE DEBATE CHALLENGE to the winner of the primary. Beginning in early September, and continuing until voting begins, let’s agree to five one-hour debates - with each debate dedicated to a single issue (e.g., housing, energy, healthcare, women’s reproductive rights, jobs and the economy, the wealth gap and income inequality, foreign policy, veterans, government overreach, intrusion, ethics and accountability, individual rights, etc). Hell, we can even have a one-hour debate on Markey & Moulton’s FAVORITE topic: all things Donald Trump. Let’s find out which one of us offers the solutions to problems facing working families across the Commonwealth. Massachusetts is in trouble. Regular people cannot afford to live here. Period. That’s why we lead the nation in people leaving the state for good. The press in MA should want to witness and even participate in these substantive debates. I’m calling on the MA and National press to push for these type of debates to happen between me and the Democratic Nominee.
