WuShuo has learned that anonymous artist SHL0MS uploaded a high-resolution scan of Monet's 1914 *Water Lilies* to X, claiming it was an AI-generated work after cropping out the signature. This sparked widespread criticism, with comments like “soulless,” “lacking optical blending,” and “edges are too soft,” including remarks from painters and art critics. Two days later, SHL0MS revealed the truth and compiled screenshots of the critiques into an NFT titled *Inferior Image*. The NFT was eventually sold after 28 bids for approximately $42,500, with the buyer being AI art collector Jediwolf. SHL0MS later commented, “The ‘AI’ label gives people a kind of social permission to skip observation itself and jump straight to dismissive judgments.” https://(wublock123.com)/news/monet-s-water-lilies-mocked-as-ai-critique-screenshot-minted-nft-sold-42500-61372
