According to Gao Song, Vice President of Intel and General Manager of the Software Engineering and Client Products Division in China, mainstream PCs always give people the impression of being cheap but heavy, and their performance and battery life are limited. The first third-generation Intel Core processor that supports hybrid AI for end cloud extends the capabilities previously limited to high-end products to mainstream PC platforms. It is reported that the hybrid architecture of "local auxiliary brain+cloud main brain" for edge cloud hybrid AI can efficiently allocate tasks, achieving a balance between performance, privacy protection, cost, and response speed. The "auxiliary brain" capability consists of local AI and small and medium-sized models on the PC side, while the "main brain" collaborates with remote AI and large models.
