According to Foresight News, citing Reuters, Meta plans to lay off 20% of its workforce and reassign 7,000 employees to AI projects. Meta's Chief Human Resources Officer, Janelle Gale, stated, 'As organizational leaders drive change, many have integrated native AI design principles into the new organizational structure. We have now entered a phase where many organizations can adopt a flatter structure, operating through smaller "groups/teams," enabling faster action and greater autonomy.'
Previously, over 1,000 Meta employees signed a petition condemning the company for installing mouse-tracking software. This software is used to train Meta's artificial intelligence models to help simulate human-computer interaction.
