HYPE is under investigation. I think the core issue is that it’s threatening the traditional financial derivatives market in the U.S. With its growing user base and liquidity share, it’s cutting into their profits—if they don’t come after HYPE, who else would they target?
If HYPE can successfully navigate through this mess, hitting $100 is just a matter of time.
As for where this is heading:
A complete ban on Hyperliquid seems unlikely to me.
In the short term, the likely outcome is price volatility for HYPE (we’re already seeing a drop).
If the CFTC steps in and enforces stricter regulations, it could lead to restrictions on U.S. users accessing the platform.
