Back in October last year, I mentioned in my pinned tweet: This bull market was pretty much over. A lot of people didn’t believe it at the time. Because the scariest thing in a bull market isn’t the drop, it’s the illusion. The illusion of the next 100x coin. The illusion of achieving financial freedom again. The illusion that the market will never end. But what I want to say is: The cruelest part of the market is often not the crash. It’s the repeated giving of hope, only to crush it again and again. At this stage, I think what everyone needs most is no longer passion, but patience. Less illusion. Less frequent trading. Less obsession with making a comeback. The real big opportunities never appear when everyone is excited. They come when the market is at its coldest, when no one is talking, when despair is at its peak. The bear market isn’t scary. What’s scary is: Burning through your last bit of capital and emotional energy in the wrong cycle. Survive. Wait for the next real cycle to arrive. That’s more important than anything.
