[Winklevoss Brothers Invest $100 Million in Gemini Exchange]
According to Golden Finance, on May 15, billionaire twins Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founders of Gemini Space Station Inc., made a $100 million 'strategic investment' in the struggling cryptocurrency exchange.
Winklevoss Capital Fund LLC injected capital into the New York-based company at a price of $14 per share, with the transaction settled in Bitcoin. The stock closed at $5.26 on Thursday, and its price surged approximately 15% in after-hours trading. Over the past year, the stock has plummeted by more than 80%.
