He pointed out that the DeFi security situation was particularly severe in April this year, with only three days in the month free of hacker attacks, and cumulative losses for DeFi protocols exceeding $690 million. Excluding the February 2025 Bybit attack incident, April has become the month with the highest DeFi hacker losses since March 2022. Ronghui Gu believes that attackers can concentrate significant computational power to repeatedly test a single protocol, while security companies must serve multiple clients simultaneously, leading to dispersed resources and a natural disadvantage on the defensive side.
