According to reports from Cailian Press, OpenAI has issued a statement regarding the recent 'Mini Shai-Hulud' supply chain attack targeting the popular open-source library TanStack. The statement noted that after detecting the malicious attack on several commonly used npm packages, the security team promptly conducted an internal system review and has so far found no evidence of user data being leaked or accessed illegally. OpenAI emphasized that while its core services were not directly compromised, to ensure the security of local environments, all macOS users of its official application must complete a software update by June 12, 2026.
