[Citadel Reportedly Requests Core Researchers to Relocate from Hong Kong or Resign]
According to Golden Finance, on May 14, the Financial Times cited sources stating that hedge fund company Citadel has relocated some core researchers from Hong Kong due to concerns over data security. Sources revealed that Citadel had informed members of its global quantitative strategy team based in Hong Kong in recent months that they must choose to relocate to other office locations or resign. It is reported that some affected researchers have accepted offers to relocate to Singapore or Miami, USA, while others have chosen to resign. Citadel responded by stating that the personnel relocation is part of the company's global "co-location" strategy and is unrelated to data security. The company also mentioned that it continues to recruit quantitative researchers in both Hong Kong and Singapore. (Dongxin News)
