The CLARITY Act negotiations between the two parties have not reached an agreement, and the Democratic Party still has differences on the BRCA provisions Odaily Planet Daily News: According to encryption journalist Eleanor Terrett, sources have revealed that a bipartisan minority group of members in the US Senate held talks last night on the CLARITY Act, attempting to push the Democratic Party to make concessions on at least two unresolved issues, but ultimately failed to reach an agreement. Senator Cynthia Lummis said that both sides have reached an agreement on "99% of the content" of the bill and hope that the Democratic Party can continue to resolve the remaining issues after the bill is reviewed by the committee. Otherwise, if similar FTX incidents occur in the future, "we can only blame ourselves". According to reports, Democratic senators Adam Schiff and Ruben Gallego have been pushing for a compromise on ethical standards and conflict of interest provisions related to the presidential family before committee review, and have made it one of the conditions for supporting the bill. In addition, some Democratic lawmakers have raised concerns about the relevant provisions of the Blockchain Regulatory Clarity Act (BRCA). This clause intends to prohibit lawsuits against non custodial software developers based on remittance business laws. Sources say that both sides have made substantial progress on ethical and conflicting interests issues, but disagreements over the content of BRCA revisions ultimately led to the breakdown of negotiations. At present, the market generally expects that this committee review will show obvious partisan tendencies.
