Google just dropped a bombshell—this fall, they’re launching an AI-exclusive computer called the Googlebook! Just a flick of your mouse wakes up Gemini, point at anything on the screen to edit it, instantly transfer phone apps and files to your computer, and they’ve even broken down the ecosystem walls. The Googlebook series comes with a brand-new operating system that merges Android and ChromeOS, with Gemini AI as the core layer. The first batch of hardware is co-manufactured by PC giants like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Set to hit the market this fall, all devices will feature the iconic “Glowbar” physical light strip. The core logic of Googlebook revolves around system-level AI interaction and seamless cross-device integration. Its standout feature, “Magic Pointer,” developed by the Google DeepMind team, lets users wake up Gemini with a simple mouse shake. Based on where your cursor hovers, it generates contextual suggestions—like pulling dates from an email to create a calendar event instantly. On top of that, the devices come with native “Cast My Apps” and “Quick Access” features, allowing users to run Android phone apps directly on the laptop and access local phone files without transferring them. The “Create My Widget” feature lets users generate custom desktop widgets by using natural language prompts to pull data from apps like Gmail and Calendar.
