[Ethereum Working Group Launches 'Clear Signing' Open Standard to Address Blind Signing Issues and Enhance On-Chain Transaction Security]
Odaily Planet Daily News: The Ethereum Foundation-led working group has released a new open standard called 'Clear Signing,' aimed at addressing the longstanding issue of 'blind signing.' The new standard is built on the ERC-7730 specification and seeks to promote the implementation of the 'WYSIWYS (What You See Is What You Sign)' concept. This allows users to understand the actual execution details of a transaction in a unified, readable, and structured manner before signing, replacing the current widespread method of displaying machine-readable but difficult-to-understand low-level transaction information. Through a unified description format, registry system, and independent verification and auditing mechanisms, transaction intent can be clearly expressed and standardized for presentation in wallets. Clear Signing will not alter the structure of on-chain transactions but will enhance interpretability through off-chain standardized descriptions, thereby improving security without compromising compatibility with existing protocols.
