The U.S. Department of Justice announced that three men from Tennessee have been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly committing robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy crimes targeting cryptocurrency holders in multiple locations across California. Prosecutors stated that the three suspects posed as delivery personnel to gain access to victims' residences in San Francisco, San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Los Angeles, where they used firearms, tape, and zip ties to coerce victims into surrendering their crypto account information. According to the indictment, in one case, the victim was forced to transfer $10 million in BTC and $3 million in ETH, while another case involved the theft of $6.5 million in crypto assets. The charges carry maximum sentences ranging from 20 years to life imprisonment. (Decrypt) https://(wublock123.com)/news/news-60943
