The Senate Banking Committee just released the latest text of The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act ahead of Thursday’s markup. The DEF team will review the 300+ pages of the bill in detail, but we want to call out the impressive level of active bipartisan engagement from Congressional leaders and staff. We are encouraged by the direction of recent negotiations and note that the most important provisions for developers and infrastructure providers - the BRCA and protections under the Exchange Act - are in this bill. Next Up? Ahead of the markup on Thursday, Congressional leaders will submit proposed amendments likely by tomorrow, May 12th, at 5pm ET.
