According to Edaily, South Korea's National Assembly Political Affairs Committee held a bill review meeting on May 12, but the highly anticipated Stablecoin 'Basic Act on Digital Assets' (Phase 2 Legislation) was not included in the discussion agenda. Reportedly, the government plans to postpone the review of this bill until after the local elections in June. The South Korean industry is widely concerned that the continued delay in related legislation could trigger capital outflows and limit the development of the domestic crypto industry.
