After using GPT 5.5 and Claude 4.7 intensively for a while, I can confirm that GPT completely outperforms Claude from multiple angles (I didn’t use API or programming, so I can’t speak for that). GPT’s strengths lie in its accuracy and rigor, and it’s clearly putting serious effort into addressing AI hallucinations. The problem with Claude 4.7 is that not only does it lack rigor, but the effort it puts in is also vastly different. They previously claimed it was fixed, but as of now, it doesn’t seem to be—extremely lazy.
