EMERGING MARKETS REBOUND WITH $58B APRIL INFLOW AFTER WAR-DRIVEN SELLOFF
Emerging markets saw $58.3 billion in portfolio inflows in April after the Iran war triggered a massive $66.2 billion outflow in March, according to IIF data.
The recovery was driven mainly by debt markets, which attracted $51.9 billion after March’s $682 million outflow. Equity inflows reached $6.4 billion following a sharp $65.5 billion selloff the previous month.
China posted modest gains, with $2.1 billion in debt inflows and $1.5 billion in equity inflows.(*Walter Bloomberg)
