Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on May 10, according to insiders, Alibaba (09988.HK) is preparing to announce its plan to integrate its AI platform Qwen with the e-commerce platform Taobao. This move aims to facilitate shopping through conversations rather than keyword searches. Reportedly, the integration will enable consumers to interact with an AI assistant via the Qwen app to browse, compare, and purchase products without manually navigating product lists. The Qwen app is expected to access the complete catalog of over 4 billion items on Taobao and Tmall, supported by a "skill library" capable of managing logistics and after-sales services. Additionally, it will provide shopping recommendations based on users' order history and shopping preferences. Furthermore, within the Taobao platform, Alibaba will launch an AI shopping assistant powered by Qwen, equipped with tools such as virtual try-ons and 30-day price tracking. (Jin10)
