According to Cointelegraph, seven major Bitcoin mining pools have joined the Stratum V2 working group to collaboratively develop a universal open standard protocol for communication between mining pool operators and miners within their pools. As stated in the Stratum V2 announcement, AntPool, Block Inc, F2Pool, Foundry, MARA Foundation, SpiderPool, and DMND have all joined the working group to establish mining pool communication standards. This standard is expected to reduce the time required for mining pools to successfully mine a block.
