[BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, and Other Automakers Deny Being Summoned for Talks] Odaily Planet Daily News: Market rumors suggest that issues related to battery locking by automakers, which have triggered widespread complaints, have drawn regulatory attention. It was reported that eight automakers were summoned for talks, three were investigated for violations, and two withdrew disputed upgrade packages and promised to restore performance. Subsequently, AI-related online sources listed the names of the eight automakers. When verifying with the eight automakers—BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, NIO, Seres AITO, Geely Zeekr, and GAC Aion—today, BYD, Tesla, XPeng, Li Auto, and GAC Aion explicitly denied the claims. A Tesla representative stated that the company had not been summoned by regulators over battery locking issues and that all Tesla software updates undergo rigorous testing and filing. XPeng's legal department issued a statement saying: 'After verification, our company has not recently received any so-called "summons" as mentioned in this false information, nor is there any investigation case against us.' Li Auto stated that the above information is false and that the company has not been summoned by regulators over battery locking issues. BYD officially posted: 'Recently, there have been false rumors online claiming that BYD was summoned or investigated. This content is entirely fabricated.' GAC Aion also issued an official statement: 'GAC Aion has never been summoned by relevant authorities over the matters mentioned in the false information, nor is it included in the list of companies under investigation.'
