According to Reuters, Carolyn Rogers, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, stated that the design of domestic stablecoin regulatory rules in Canada is underway. The originally planned launch timeline of early 2027 is considered ambitious and may actually be delayed to mid or late 2027.
