No commercial vessels operated by registered shipping companies have crossed the Strait of Hormuz since Tuesday amid rising hostilities between Iran and the U.S., according to S&P Global Intelligence data. In the past seven days, 1,018 ships were tracked within 200 miles of the strait, though activity was largely limited to shadow fleet vessels, Iran-owned ships engaged in local trade, and some smaller crossings. Jeremy Domballe, maritime director at S&P Global Intelligence, said: “Absent a clear resolution, any increase in transits is more likely to begin as a slow trickle rather than a mass exodus, as key operational and security questions would still need to be addressed before confidence returns at scale.”(金十数据)
