Virginia Supreme Court today ruled 4-3 striking down the voter-approved Democratic congressional redistricting plan to change the Commonwealth's U.S. House map from a 6-5 Democratic majority to 10-1 advantage for Democrats in the fall election. Justice Kelsey wrote for the majority: "The congressional district maps issued by this Court in 2021...remain the governing maps for the upcoming 2026 congressional elections." The oral argument was heard in Richmond on April 27.
