The National Development and Reform Commission and four other departments have released the "Artificial Intelligence+Energy" action plan
The National Development and Reform Commission, National Energy Administration, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and National Data Administration jointly issued the "Action Plan for Promoting the Dual Empowerment of Artificial Intelligence and Energy", proposing to initially establish a safe, green, and economic energy security system to support the development of AI by 2027, and to achieve world leading research and application of AI specific technologies in the energy field by 2030. The key points of the plan include: coordinating the layout of new energy bases and computing hubs, exploring the direct connection of nuclear power and hydrogen energy computing facilities; Promote the increase of green electricity proportion and energy efficiency in computing power facilities, and improve carbon emission accounting; Realize the synergy between computing power and electricity through market-oriented trading of electricity; Open up high-value AI application scenarios such as power grid, coal, oil and gas, and energy storage; Accelerate the research and development of energy large-scale models and the application of independent intelligent computing chips, and provide supporting support in terms of standards, funding, and talent.
