[U.S. Court Rules Trump's 10% Global Tariff Invalid] Jinshi Data, May 8 – The U.S. Trade Court ruled on Thursday that the latest 10% global tariff measure implemented by President Trump is invalid, stating that such a comprehensive tariff increase lacks justification. On February 20 this year, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the large-scale tariff measures implemented by the Trump administration under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act lacked clear legal authorization. Following the announcement of the ruling, Trump on the same day invoked Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 to declare a 'global import tariff' of 10% on goods from all countries and regions, effective for 150 days.
