According to a report by Lebanon's International Broadcasting Corporation LBCI, the third round of peace talks between Israel and Lebanon may take place as early as next week. The talks are scheduled for next Wednesday and Thursday, or Thursday and Friday, in Washington, D.C.
The Lebanese delegation will include former Ambassador to Washington Simon Karam, current Ambassador to Washington Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul Wissam Boutros, as well as representatives from the Lebanese Armed Forces.
LBCI reported that in preparation for the talks, the current Ambassador to Washington met with members of U.S. Secretary of State Rubio's team on Monday and Tuesday. The two sides discussed the upcoming Israel-Lebanon meeting, and the ambassador provided U.S. officials with a list of alleged Israeli violations of existing agreements, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the ceasefire.
