This anime is going to be peak. It’s called “Smoking behind the Supermarket with you.” Bookmark this. It’s the story of this Japanese salaryman Sasaki who shops at the same Supermarket every day because seeing the cashier, Yamada, cheers him up and inspires him. One day he goes there to shop and she’s not there so he looks for a place to smoke a cig before heading home from work and this girl calls out to him to come smoke behind the supermarket with her. It’s Yamada in her off-work clothing and makeup but Sasaki is too dense to realize it because man. She teases him by saying her name is Tayama instead and makes Sasaki her smoking buddy because she’s amused hearing him talk about and dote on Yamada (herself). One thing leads to another and the story begins: who does Sasaki like? Yamada or Tayama and which side of herself does Yamada show Sasaki? It’s a SUPER wholesome and well done series, its feel good and delightful. If you like slice of life, comedy, slow burn romance, it’s for you. It’s going to be a sleeper hit.
