[Trump Reiterates Optimism About a U.S.-Iran Agreement]
Odaily Planet Daily News – On May 6 local time, U.S. President Trump stated that he is optimistic about reaching a framework agreement with Iran, believing it is 'likely to yield results.' When asked about the specific timeline for reaching an agreement, Trump estimated 'one week.'
During an interview that day, Trump expressed optimism about the prospects of the U.S. reaching an agreement with Iran, stating that the potential agreement could include Iran transporting its highly enriched uranium to the United States. Trump said he feels the U.S. is increasingly close to reaching an agreement, adding, 'I think the chances of reaching a deal are very high,' and that both sides could potentially reach an agreement next week to end the conflict.
However, he also issued a warning: 'If they don’t agree, then we will carry out bombings.' When asked whether the potential agreement would include Iran transferring its highly enriched uranium out of the country or possibly to the U.S., Trump responded: 'Yes, not "possibly," it will be sent to the U.S.'
Trump further stated that Iran would also commit to not operating underground nuclear facilities and 'will, in good faith, adhere to this arrangement for a considerable period of time.'
