[Iranian President: Distrust of the U.S. Stems from Hostile Actions by the U.S.]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on May 7, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron on May 6 local time to exchange views on the latest regional developments. During the call, Raisi mentioned Iran's distrust of the United States and emphasized that this distrust stems from hostile actions by the U.S., with the most recent example being two attacks on Iran during negotiations, which were essentially seen as 'stabbing in the back.' Macron stated during the call that restoring calm in the Strait of Hormuz would help advance negotiations on nuclear issues and regional affairs.
