I received a security briefing from the Jamaica Constabulary Force on the situation in Kingston Central, including areas like Sabina Park. I commend the JCF for their strong and professional work in keeping the public safe through careful planning, intelligence, and targeted operations. I’m encouraged by the improvements in safety across Kingston Central, with areas like Sabina Park remaining peaceful due to sustained policing efforts, including Zones of Special Operations. While progress is being made against organised crime, more must be done to address the root causes of violence, especially interpersonal conflicts. The Government remains committed to strengthening security and building long-term peace across Jamaica.(Andrew Holness)
