[Australian Rapper Iggy Azalea Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Solana Meme Token MOTHER]
According to Decrypt, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is facing a class action lawsuit over the Solana meme token MOTHER. Investors accuse her of exaggerating the token's actual utility and commercial integrations. The lawsuit claims that Azalea promoted MOTHER as being integrated into the Motherland casino, Unreal Mobile phone services, and the DreamVault marketplace, but these integrations either failed to materialize or did not operate as promised. The MOTHER token has plummeted over 99% from its peak value of approximately $0.23. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for affected investors, including statutory damages and potential treble damages. The lawsuit was filed by Burwick Law, a firm that previously brought a case against "Hawk Tuah" girl Hailey Welch and her meme token project.
