[Wasabi Protocol Attacker Deposits All Stolen Funds into Tornado Cash]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that, according to on-chain analyst Specter, the Wasabi Protocol attacker has deposited all stolen funds into Tornado Cash, transferring approximately $5.9 million into Tornado Cash. Additionally, the North Korean hacker group has similarly laundered stolen funds from KelpDAO and LayerZero through Tornado Cash. Their process involves first bridging the assets to Bitcoin, routing them through the Wasabi Mixer, withdrawing them, bridging back to Ethereum, and depositing into Tornado Cash. Subsequently, the funds are withdrawn to new wallets and dispersed across multiple addresses. The new wallets then deploy tokens, use the stolen funds to purchase them, and remove liquidity from the deployment wallets. Finally, the funds are bridged to Tron (USDT), held for several hours or days, and then sent to OTC-associated wallets.
