[Media: Two U.S. Destroyers Cross the Strait of Hormuz After Evading Intense Iranian Attacks] Reported by Jinse Finance, on May 5, according to multiple U.S. Department of Defense officials, two U.S. Navy destroyers crossed the Strait of Hormuz into the Persian Gulf after evading intense firepower attacks from Iran. U.S. defense officials stated that the destroyers USS Truxtun and USS Mason encountered a series of coordinated military threats during their transit, supported and covered by Apache helicopters and other military aircraft. Iran deployed small fast boats, missiles, and drones to launch sustained saturation harassment against the two warships. Despite the high intensity of the attacks, neither U.S. vessel was hit. Military officials noted that with the aid of aerial support and defensive combat measures, the U.S. successfully intercepted and repelled all incoming threats, with none of the launched munitions striking the ships.
