[White House Plans to Implement Review Before AI Model Releases] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on May 5, the Trump administration is considering issuing an executive order to establish an artificial intelligence task force aimed at strengthening the regulation of this emerging technology. One proposal requires new AI models to undergo a government review process. The report states that White House officials informed executives from Anthropic, Google’s parent company Alphabet, and OpenAI of some proposed plans during a meeting last week. This move marks a shift in President Trump’s stance on artificial intelligence. Previously, he had been an advocate for AI development, promoting the industry through measures such as reducing regulatory burdens, supporting data center construction, and ensuring power supply. At the same time, the Trump administration is also addressing its relationship with Anthropic. The conflict stems from U.S. concerns over Anthropic’s powerful Mythos AI model and its potential military applications.
