[Missile Warning Issued by UAE, Escalating Tensions Threaten US-Iran Ceasefire]
Reported by Golden Finance, on Monday, May 4, the UAE issued its first missile threat warning since the ceasefire between the United States and Iran about a month ago, highlighting the fragility of diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war. The warning was issued just hours after an oil tanker belonging to the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) was attacked by an Iranian drone near the Strait of Hormuz. Before the outbreak of war at the end of February, approximately one-fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas passed through the Strait of Hormuz. It remains unclear whether the warning was triggered by the attack on the UAE or is related to the escalating situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
