U.S. officials deny that a U.S. vessel was hit by an Iranian missile. I also hope it really wasn’t hit by a missile. If Iran actually fired at the U.S., I think the U.S. wouldn’t let it slide and would likely retaliate, which would make the ceasefire agreement meaningless. What follows would probably be another round of back-and-forth conflict. But if it wasn’t hit, or if the U.S. refuses to admit it, there might actually be a trend toward easing tensions.
