**[OpenClaw Releases Version 2026.5.3 Update, Enhancing File Transfer and Agent Control Capabilities]** According to a report by Jinse Finance, on May 4, the AI agent tool OpenClaw released its version 2026.5.3 update, focusing on optimizing file transfer mechanisms, real-time task control capabilities, and plugin system security. This update introduces a new "Node-Paired File Transfer" feature, enabling direct file transfers between multiple nodes. By default, access is denied, and a 16MB transfer limit is set to enhance security. Additionally, the update introduces the `/steer` command, allowing real-time intervention in running agents without interrupting current tasks, and the `/side` command for quick side inquiries to avoid disrupting the main task flow. In terms of the plugin ecosystem, OpenClaw has strengthened the installation and update processes, supporting official npm packages, the ClawHub rollback mechanism, and dependency status detection, while improving vulnerability fixes and exception recovery capabilities. Furthermore, multi-platform communication channels (including WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, Slack, etc.) have undergone optimizations for transmission stability and status feedback. The development team stated that this version focuses on reducing usage friction and improving system reliability, ensuring that long-running AI agents maintain higher stability and security in complex environments.
