[North Korean Foreign Ministry Denies Involvement in International Hacking Incident] Foresight News reports, citing Yonhap News Agency, that in response to recent accusations of North Korea being the main force behind an international hacking incident, the North Korean Foreign Ministry stated that this is politically motivated disinformation aimed at tarnishing North Korea's reputation, calling it an absurd conspiracy. A spokesperson for the North Korean Foreign Ministry, through a Q&A format via the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), pointed out that recently, the United States has been leveraging government agencies, official media, think tanks, and other channels to hype up a so-called "North Korean cyber threat" that does not exist, attempting to spread false perceptions about North Korea in the international community. The U.S.'s exaggerated rhetoric about a so-called "cyber risk" from one party is an extension of its hostile policy toward North Korea, aiming to use cyber issues as a political tool for infringing on sovereignty and interfering in internal affairs. North Korea firmly opposes this and will not sit idly by in the face of more blatant confrontational attempts by hostile forces. It will actively take all necessary measures to safeguard national interests and the rights of its citizens.
