🇮🇷 IRAN MAY SOON BE FORCED TO SHUT DOWN ITS OIL WELLS The US blockade has effectively trapped Iran's oil inside the country. Kharg Island, Iran's main export hub, is reportedly 74% full and climbing fast. Kpler shows Iran has only 12 to 22 days of unused crude storage capacity left before tanks overflow. Iran then will soon be forced to shut in its oldest, most fragile wells. The problem is that Iran's giant carbonate reservoirs (Asmari, Bangestan) are notoriously difficult to restart. And shutdowns longer than 1 month "risk long-term damage" to reservoirs. Once water creeps in, recovery rates collapse, sometimes for years.(Coin Bureau)
