**[POLITICO Poll: Majority of Americans Remain Skeptical of AI and Cryptocurrency]** According to a report by Jinse Finance on May 3, a recent POLITICO poll shows that despite the AI and cryptocurrency industries pouring significant political funding into the U.S. midterm elections, the American public as a whole still holds a noticeably cautious or even negative attitude toward these two sectors. The survey reveals that 45% of Americans believe that "investing in cryptocurrency is not worth the risk," while 44% of respondents think the pace of AI development is "too fast." Nearly half of those surveyed expressed greater trust in traditional banks to safeguard their funds compared to crypto platforms. About two-thirds support strict government regulation of AI or the establishment of unified regulatory principles. The report notes that super PACs (political action committees) supporting the AI and cryptocurrency industries are quickly becoming significant financial forces in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections. Among them, the pro-AI organization *Leading the Future* has raised over $75 million, while the crypto PAC *Fairshake*, backed by Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz, and Ripple, has invested approximately $28 million in several key primaries. However, the poll indicates that voters are more inclined to support candidates advocating for "strengthened AI regulation" rather than those pushing for deregulation. U.S. Senator Chris Murphy stated, "People do not trust the cryptocurrency industry, nor do they want AI companies to dominate them culturally and economically." Additionally, more than half of Americans said they have never purchased and would not consider purchasing cryptocurrency, while 43% of respondents believe the risks of AI outweigh its benefits.
