Looking at the current state of Ethereum L2, I can't conclude that L2 is dead just yet:
- @base TVL $4.4 billion, 386k daily active addresses
- @arbitrum TVL $1.66 billion, 314k daily active addresses
- @Optimism TVL $350 million, 19k daily active addresses
- @inkonchain TVL $290 million, 32k daily active addresses
- @Polymarket is aligning with Ethereum to build an L2 chain
- @RobinhoodApp is building an Ethereum-aligned L2 chain based on Arbitrum Orbit (currently in testnet phase)
- EIP-4844/Fusaka upgrade/BPO series hard forks, etc., have completely unlocked the performance ceiling of Ethereum L2
