Golden Finance reported that on May 1, U.S. President Trump stated during a press conference at the White House that recent U.S. military actions had "destroyed" Iran's nuclear capability and significantly weakened its overall military strength. He claimed that Iran's navy and air force are "almost nonexistent," approximately 82% of its drone factories have been crippled, missile factories are nearly 90% damaged, and most missile systems have been destroyed.
Trump stated that the U.S. had completed critical strike missions in a short period and emphasized that if no action were taken, Iran "might acquire nuclear weapons," which he said is "absolutely unacceptable." He noted that current negotiations with Iran are facing obstacles, but Iran is "very eager to reach an agreement." He added that the details of the negotiations are known only to a very small number of senior U.S. officials.
Trump said that under economic sanctions and military pressure, Iran's economy is facing severe difficulties, with oil revenues significantly declining. He stressed that the U.S. goal is to force Iran to abandon the development of nuclear weapons while promoting a resolution of the situation through negotiations as soon as possible. (CCTV News)
