Chicago Drill rapper Lil Zay Osama and 6 others have been indicted by a U.S. federal grand jury on charges of robbery conspiracy and kidnapping conspiracy for their alleged involvement in a crypto-related home invasion. According to the indictment, the incident occurred on March 8, 2026, when the suspects allegedly posed as delivery drivers to gain access to a residence in Winnetka, Illinois. They reportedly held the victims at gunpoint for about an hour, demanding access to a safe, computers, and online accounts containing cryptocurrency. All 6 defendants have pleaded not guilty and are being held in custody awaiting trial. The kidnapping conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, while the robbery conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
