The USA pays for about 45% of all pharmaceutical innovation worldwide, which comes from research funded by American taxpayers. Yet we get the short end of the stick when paying for the drugs. European countries force the pharma companies to charge lower rates, so American patients end up paying for all of the profit margins at those drug companies. Europe has a history of freeloading off of the USA, whether it's their lack of contributions toward NATO or profiting off American taxpayer funded research. It needs to end.(Wall Street Mav)
