[BNP Paribas: Inflation Risks May Prompt Bank of England to Raise Rates Twice in 2026] Jin10 News, April 29 – BNP Paribas economist Paul Hollingsworth stated during a webinar that inflationary pressures driven by high energy prices could prompt the Bank of England to raise interest rates twice in 2026. He noted: 'We believe that the nature of the (oil supply) shock, combined with the stickiness of underlying inflation, will justify the Bank of England's rate hikes.' According to data from the London Stock Exchange, the market has fully priced in the possibility of two 25-basis-point rate hikes by the Bank of England before September and sees a 64% chance of a third rate hike by the end of the year.
