I just heard about a chain called Monad today. In my understanding, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, SOL, and POL are the mainnets/layer 2s that hold real value, and the rest can basically be ignored. Essentially, it’s like how people used to issue tokens, and now they’re issuing chains. Why issue chains? Because retail investors have become disillusioned with regular tokens, so they came up with public chains, promoting them from a technical angle, but it’s still just about selling tokens This industry doesn’t need so many chains, and it definitely doesn’t need so many tokens.
