According to The Korea Times, South Korea's National Tax Service (NTS) has recovered 33.9 billion won (approximately $23 million) in unpaid taxes over the past 9 months through cooperation with tax authorities in 3 countries. The NTS has now exchanged information with 163 jurisdictions to track assets hidden overseas. The report states that starting next year, South Korea's tax authorities will receive virtual asset transaction data from 56 countries under a new crypto asset reporting framework. From 2030, they will also exchange information on overseas real estate ownership and transactions.
